Yep, you read that right.
RGVSports.com has proven to be so powerful that we figured we could funnel that energy into a magazine as well. And with a staff of 15 sportswriters and 10 photographers from each of the Valley Freedom Newspapers (The Herald, Valley Morning Star, Mid-Valley Town Crier and The Monitor), we’re going to begin our first year on August 1. We’re going to have four issues the first school year, all being full-color, 72-page editions. And the magazine (first issue, August 1) is going to cover all high school sports in the Rio Grande Valley, from Port Isabel to Roma.
Subscription information will be released next week, and you can sign up for all four magazines for $10 for the first year and have them delievered to your house. As always, we’ll keep you updated here, but this promises to be the top magazine for high school sports in the Valley. And it will be completely different from the product you see in the daily newspapers and online, with a variety of elements to keep you interested throughout the 72 pages.
As mentioned above, keep checking back here and on the RGVSports.com home page for more details during the coming weeks.
